Marie Cleaves Obituary
Marie Joines Cleaves Age 83, of Kennett Square, PA, passed away at her home on Friday, January 21, 2005. She was the wife of the late Clarence C. Joines and George Cleaves. Born in Virginia she was the daughter of the late Bert and Cynthia Kennedy McMillan She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Kennett Square. Also she was a member of the Kennett Seniors and the Kennett Symphony. In addition to her parents and husbands, Marie is predeceased by 1 son, Neil C. Joines; 1 stepdaughter, Janet Cleaves; 2 brothers, Wilson and Nelson McMillan. Marie is survived by her brothers, Willard McMillan, of Moultrie, GA, and Robert McMillan, of New Castle, DE; sisters, Ethel Hunter and Helen Jamison, both of Kennett Square; Daughter-in-law, Edyie Joines, of Kennett Square; stepson, George Cleaves, Jr., of Kennett Square; and numerous nieces & nephews. Family and friends are invited to Marie's life celebration on Tuesday from 7-9 pm at the KUZO & GOFUS FUNERAL HOME "A Life Celebration Home", State & Meredith Sts., Kennett Square and Wednesday, January 26, 2005, 10-11 am at the First Baptist Church of Kennett Square, 415 West State Street, Kennett Square, PA 19348. Followed by her funeral service at 11 am. Interment in Longwood cemetery. Contributions in Marie's memory may be made to the first Baptist Church of Kennett Square.
